3rd annual Brainerd Walk and Wheel Event to celebrate making Brainerd more walkable and bikeable. Brainerd City Council Member Sheeler also wished that Crow Wing County (board) would be more involved in making their roads more bikeable and walkable.

Hwy 169 north of Milaca
Description: Reconstruct 6.4 miles of NB Hwy 169 north of Milaca, extend turn lanes
Status: Aug 2015-Aug 2016
Traffic Impacts: Close NB lanes, switch traffic to one lane in each direction on SB side of road. Narrow temporary lanes and crossovers, reduced speed limit.
Caution for bicyclists / pedestrians on Paul Bunyan trail in Baxter

Update Oct 2 2015: This year's Excelsior road project is complete and Isle Dr has reopened. There is still some construction happening in Baxter.
August 25 2015 Update trail is also closed near Walmart and other parts of town due to road construction.
previously there was no safe passable way to go all the way through Baxter using just the trail.
Less than a year after the trail was completed it was closed in the city of Baxter.
