MRT, a world-class bicycle route that originates at the headwaters within Itasca State Park and continues through ten states to the Gulf of Mexico in Louisiana. It is a 3,000-mile network of bicycle-friendly roads and multi-use paths that provides access to a cross-section of America.

Brainerd along with Aikin and Crosby are pleased to be what are called Host Cities for the MRT.

The kiosk ribbon cutting will also be an opportunity for the Brainerd Riverfront Committee to update everyone on the progress with implementing the Riverfront Plan.

MPCA issues air pollution advisory for Sunday, June 19 – Ozone

The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) has issued an air pollution health advisory for portions of eastern, southern and southeastern Minnesota, effective Sunday, June 19 from 11a.m. through 9 p.m. The affected area includes the Twin Cities Metro, Albert Lea, Forest Lake, Mankato, Owatonna, Red Wing, Rochester, Winona and Worthington.

The video starts out with Brainerd High School marching band practicing. In the evening their was rain. Baseball players cleaning up after the rain. There was a partial rainbow. A faint double rainbow. a spider crawled and a plane flew in front of the rainbow. Brainerd water tower can be seen by part of the rainbow. Finished with a red sunset (red caused by smoke in air)
